Acidity Treatment in Ayurveda
Hyperacidity (Amlapitta) is a Pitta disorder at its core. Ayurveda treats acidity not just by managing symptoms but by addressing the root imbalance — restoring digestive fire and clearing accumulated Ama.

Understanding Acidity in Ayurveda
In Ayurveda, acidity is known as Amlapitta — a condition caused by the aggravation of Pitta dosha in the stomach and digestive tract. Pitta, the fire element, when vitiated produces excess acid, leading to burning sensations, indigestion, and discomfort.
Unlike conventional approaches that only suppress acid, Ayurveda aims to pacify the aggravated Pitta, strengthen digestive fire (Agni), and eliminate the toxic buildup (Ama) that disrupts healthy digestion — providing long-term relief.
