Ayurvedic Nasal Therapy for Head, Sinus & Sensory Health
Nasya is one of the five classical Panchakarma therapies in Ayurveda. Medicated oils, herbal juices, or powders are administered through the nostrils to cleanse and nourish the nasal passages, sinuses, and the entire region above the shoulders — known as the Urdhwa Jatru (upper body).
The nose is considered the gateway to the head in Ayurveda. Nasya clears accumulated Kapha from the head and neck region, relieves congestion, improves clarity of the sensory organs, and supports conditions ranging from sinusitis and migraines to hair fall and neurological disorders.

The Nasya Procedure
Our Ayurvedic doctor evaluates your condition, dosha imbalance, and specific head or sinus complaints to select the right type of Nasya and the appropriate medicated oil or preparation.
A gentle warm oil massage and mild steam fomentation (Swedan) is applied to the face, forehead, and neck region to relax the tissues, open the channels, and prepare the nasal passages for the therapy.
The patient lies comfortably with the head tilted back. Warm medicated oil is instilled drop by drop into each nostril using a special Nasya instrument. The preparation travels through the nasal passages into the sinuses and upper respiratory tract, cleansing and nourishing the entire head region.
After administration, the patient rests briefly while the medicine works. The doctor provides aftercare instructions including dietary guidelines, activity restrictions for the day, and follow-up session recommendations.
