Our Approach: At Herbal Hills Ayurvedic Wellness Center, our doctors begin every consultation with Nadi Parikshan (pulse diagnosis). This identifies the dominant dosha imbalance, the state of the respiratory channels (Pranavaha Srotas), and the extent of Ama — ensuring a personalised treatment plan for your respiratory health.

Understanding Asthma in Ayurveda

In Ayurveda, asthma is called Tamaka Shwasa — a condition where aggravated Vata combines with vitiated Kapha to obstruct the Pranavaha Srotas (respiratory channels). This leads to breathing difficulty, wheezing, and chest tightness, typically worsening in cold, damp, or dusty environments.

Ayurvedic treatment works to liquefy and expel accumulated Kapha from the lungs and airways, correct the upward movement of Vata (Udana and Prana Vayu), and strengthen respiratory immunity — going beyond symptom management to address the root cause.
